Mother's Day and Memorial Weekend

Hello All!

There have been comments that I haven't updated my blog lately. I have had a pretty relaxing month of May. I went down to Corpus for Mother's Day. It was nice to see the family, and celebrate with my mom and grandmothers. Amy flew in from Japan on Memorial weekend, so we spent Friday night and Saturday catching up. I tried a new service on Sunday. Attending a Methodist church made me feel right at home. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I loved the sermon, and it was nice to hear a choir and orchestra. I am looking forward to attending again tonight for the Wednesday service. Monday I went to Indiana Jones and I finished a book I was reading. All in all, a very relaxing time. This weekend the family is meeting up in New Mexico, so keep an eye out for a new blog next week!

Love,
Abby :o)

Ice Night and Derby Day

So this weekend was packed full of fun! I went ice skating with my church friends on Friday night. After hours of me screeching on the ice as I went around the rink, we headed over to Marble Slab for ice cream and good conversation. On Saturday, Theresa and I went to the United Way Women's Leadership Conference Derby Day event. We wore big hats and had a delicious meal. We watched the Kentucky Derby race (and I bet on the winning horse!), then we headed outside for the starting race of the Womens Leadership Conference race. We watched the race right on the track, and helped present the winner with the trophy cup. Sunday night was worship night for our singles group. Nothing like a little praise and worship to start your week off right!
